The essentials
The form starts a request for help selling your car. It is not a vehicle purchase contract. Any offer, price, payment or handover requires a separate agreement.
Document in preparation
This version is not final. The legal identity and contact details of the organisation responsible for Excar still need to be confirmed.
Who is responsible
Excar is the brand of this car-selling support service. The organisation providing the service and responsible for processing personal data must be identified below.
The organisation’s full identity and privacy contact are awaiting confirmation. They will be included before the final version is published.
How Excar works
Excar lets private sellers share information about their car to find an offer from a professional buyer. The team finds and compares offers and presents only the best one it found, with the price, buyer and terms identified.
The best offer refers to the offers Excar finds for that car. Sending a request does not guarantee an offer, minimum price or sale. The seller decides whether to accept the offer presented.
Who can submit a car
You must have legal capacity to make the request and own the car or be authorised to act for its owner. Ownership and authority may need to be verified before a sale proceeds.
Accurate information from the start
An assessment depends on the available information. Check the details retrieved through registration or VIN lookup and report any errors. When completing the request:
- Describe mileage, condition and vehicle history truthfully, including damage, accidents and relevant maintenance issues.
- Disclose outstanding finance, retained title, liens or other restrictions on selling that you know about.
- Only send files you are entitled to use and that represent the car. Avoid other people’s personal information and unnecessary documents.
- Keep your contact details accurate so the team can respond, and request corrections when information changes.
What submitting a request means
The Excar service is 100% free for car sellers. Submission allows contact needed to follow up on your request. It does not transfer vehicle ownership or require you to accept an offer.
The form does not automatically publish a listing. Information and files are received to review and support a possible sale, as described in the privacy policy.
If you have submitted a request and want follow-up to stop, tell the team that contacted you or use the contact identified on this page. Withdrawing a request does not remove obligations under a separate contract you have already entered into.
Offers, payment and handover
An indicative value may depend on checking the details, inspecting the car and the buyer’s conditions. Before accepting, confirm who is buying, the price, payment terms, any costs, paperwork and handover arrangements.
The service includes payment in a few hours and collection by Excar from the seller’s home or chosen location, on an agreed date. Payment and collection terms must be clear before accepting the offer.
Each party’s obligations must be set out in the specific agreement. These website terms do not replace a vehicle sale contract or promise that Excar directly buys the car, receives payment for you or handles every transfer formality.
You decide whether to proceed. Do not hand over the vehicle or transfer documents without checking the agreed conditions and payment status.
Responsible use
Do not use the service for fraudulent requests, unlawful content, malicious files, unauthorised access or actions that disrupt operation. Abusive requests may be refused or proportionately restricted.
Outages, lookup errors or submission failures may occur. Only consider a request received once the form shows confirmation. If an error appears, follow the page’s instructions before trying again.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or reduces your mandatory legal rights.
Questions and resolving problems
For questions about the service or to report a problem, use the responsible organisation’s contact. Explain what happened and provide enough information to locate the request, without unnecessary sensitive details.
Statutory complaint and dispute-resolution options and mandatory rights remain available. Required complaint mechanisms and alternative dispute-resolution bodies must be confirmed before the final version is published.

About these terms
These terms apply to the use of the Excar website. The applicable version is the one presented when you use the service. Later changes do not retroactively alter agreements already made. See the privacy policy for information about how your data is processed.
